attorneys with a wide range of courtroom evaluation and consultation
services for complex litigation, product liability and medical

Jury
Selection:
Prior to jury selection, Dr.
Manges prepares voir dire questions to make attorneys more
effective at analyzing prospective jurors. He attends voir
dire, observes the process, watches nonverbal messages,
takes notes and evaluates each potential juror against previously
developed jury deselecting criteria. Dr. Manges also caucuses
with attorneys to make strike recommendations.
Focus
Groups:
Dr. Manges organizes and conducts a focus group,
examining specific issues of importance related to an attorney’s
case. He presents the material to be reviewed impartially
so that potential juror reaction can be analyzed to develop
trial strategy accordingly.
Mock
Trials:
Dr. Manges assists with the preparation of a modified
trial. With attorney participation, he assesses the effectiveness
of the presentation as well as the impact of intangible
factors affecting the trial’s outcome.
Case
Strategy Development:
Dr. Manges talks with attorneys in depth about
the case’s psychological, behavioral, emotional and
communication elements. He discusses the language of the
trial to help develop themes, phrases and mental images
of key trial aspects. After jury selection, Dr. Manges can
help attorneys understand how to present information to
jurors.
